Yearly the Milestii Micicellars are visited by government delegations and interested in wines tourists. On our web site we will try to depict the impressions of any curious taster who would make a tour through our underground wine city. The impressions from the surrounding landscapes, the splendid architectural ensemble in the style of ancient feudal castles, the huge entrance into the cellar – all these draws anyone's attention. The clean transparent waterfalls' waters are associated with the ancient Sarmatian Sea, which covered Moldova millions of years ago. The galleries from Milestii Mici can even be passed by car, but is much more interesting to make a tour by foot along the streets which are named according to some types of wines or grapes like Cabernet, Aligote or Feteasca. You have the opportunity to examine the monolithic walls from shell rocks, enormous oak barrels which spread marvelous aroma of wines, ancient lamps and natural springs in stone. The total length of the galleries is more than 200 kilometers (55 kilometers of which are used and explored). The depth of the mines varies from 30 to 85 meters. The big barrels are prepared from Crimean and Krasnodar oak. Their capacity varies from 600 to 2000 dal. The shop window resembling with a glass of sparkling wine and the chaotic, mixed-up bubbles reminds you the taste and the delay of genuine champagne. Welcome to our underground wine cellar! Once you have been here, you will be coming back again and again, looking for the wine of your dreams.
