Red wines stored in the collection
These wines are prepared from the same excellent winemaking material as the collection wines. They are stored in the “Golden Collection” Milestii Mici not less than three years. The only difference from the collection wines is that they are corked with agglomerate cork.
All the other parameters, including the organoleptic characteristics are identical. Each bottle has an inventory number and annotation, in which are indicated the vintage year and the date of storing the wine into the collection.

PURPURIU DE PURCARI 1987– red dry collection wine, produced from Merlot and Malbec wines. The wine has reddish-purple color. Fruit aroma with delicate nuances of blackberries is completed by the bottle maturation tones. The intense and thick taste reveals the refinement of this wine, which is wonderfully combined with fried pork and meat loaves.

This underground wine city appeared in galleries excavated in lime mining operations during the 70-es of the last century, at the depth of 40-85 meters, and is one of the largest wine cellars in the world. The total length of the galleries consists of 200 km, from which more than 50 km are used.
