The festival “National Wine Day” – the most important fete of the local wine producers and wine growers – didn’t cease to be a tradition, so as during the weekend from 10-11th of October 2009, most of the wine companies from the Republic of Moldova carried on a real Wine Festival, in the frame of CIE Moldexpo.
The SE Quality Wines Complex “Milestii Mici” exposed its stand in a classical original way. All the guests and the visitors had the opportunity to taste delicious sparkling, mature and collection wines, and not only. They also had the great chance to appreciate and enjoy the thick new wine with its flavor and taste.
This time QWC “Milestii Mici” was also awarded with diplomas for the activity in producing quality wines, and namely:
- the II-nd degree Diploma for the red dry mature wine “Cabernet-Sauvignon 2007”;
- the III-rd Diploma for the white dry thick (new) wine “Sauvignon”;
- the III-rd Diploma for “The best wine grower”;
- Diploma for participation.

This underground wine city appeared in galleries excavated in lime mining operations during the 70-es of the last century, at the depth of 40-85 meters, and is one of the largest wine cellars in the world. The total length of the galleries consists of 200 km, from which more than 50 km are used.
